CAIANDA was born in Luanda, Angola, at midnight. Between one day and the next, between Africa and everything that came after. That threshold is where he lives. Where his music lives.

Based in Gent, Belgium, he makes Afrohouse and Afrotech that fuses African ancestral rhythms with the precision of European electronic music. Not as a concept. As a lived reality. Ancestral drums meeting futuristic club architecture. Sets that begin as parties and end as something closer to revelation.

His music has been supported by Diplo, Shimza and Francis Mercier. Featured on over 260 Spotify playlists with more than 76,000 listeners. Performed at Paradise City Festival Brussels, Listen Festival Antwerp, ADE Amsterdam and O2 Theatre London across 11 countries.

In 2026 he founded SOMMBA Records — a label, a radio and an events series built as a cultural platform for the African diaspora in electronic music.
